We had a mahjong session over at the guys place not too long after my exams






with thunder around

just wondering why we didn't do this much earlier
could have prevented my mahjong withdrawal symptoms

Dad's Birthday 2008

It's daddy birthday once again (3weeksback),

as usual, headed down to chimes (katong, not the one at cityhall)- parents fav hangout and celebrated the night with him

mum, bro, daron n me took a cab down first to have our dinner while dad and his colleagues enjoy a jap dinner.




but we didnt do that bad either..katong laksa can never go wrong





dad opened a bottle, but i stayed away from it (stuck to beer instead)


dad's new blackberry.. mmm looks good and its free, given by his company!


3 of us felt out of place

daron busied himself with pool, and he's really good at that compared to the last time i saw him play


while me and bro just sat there with our drinks

i remembered the time when we celebrated dad's 40th birthday. time really flies

happy birthday and farewell

turned 23 and celebrated my birthday yesterday.
leaving for perth tml.

i realised that i learnt new things with every departure.
i wonder how many more departures do i need before i know what i really want

Baking with the girls

I was home for the evening and had an urge to bake...

the girls were home that night, and i invited them over to join me..

gave them a few choices and they got really excited over the rainbow sprinkles, so brownie it was!

so did lil shuyi, who looked delighted


paul dropped over after work, and as tired he was, the girls didn't let him off and got him to 'supervise' them while i tend the oven

which proved to be a bad decision, letting them out of my sight. like 3 little kids (2 genuine at least) having a great time, happily licking off the batter instead! supervision...ya right. he was pointing to the spots with batter on!


some got carried away compared to others
all i can say is, thankfully it was not paul who got carried away.
that would have been a sight to see

'Guys' Bonding Sessions

ever since i came back from perth, i've been spending quite a bit of time with my brothers...
and i can say that i really enjoyed almost every minute with them

nick with his neverending jokes
fag with his...faggy actions
and photowhore daron when he had a little too much to drink..



it started with a desire to have jap food. rounded up the guys, paul and mab


daron said okie, but only after he collect his precious....more about that later



me, paul, mab & mum needed stamps at that moment

sat night. everywhere was bloody PACKED. the jap place @ stadium was full, sakae was full, tepanyaki was full, cafe cartel was full... what the....

ended up @ fish & co


i'm not a fan of mussels... but the sauce... is really outoftheworld


something that i couldn't eat at that moment.... due to my cough


had to settle for this, which seems least damaging.. but didnt help as paul kept shoving his fried fish onto my plate -_-


and ya, missed the prawns as well


mab obviously wasn;t veryhappy with her order, swordfish something..


yeah but it was darn filling... everyone was bloated


thats the crew for the night.

night ended with drinks and holdem at my place

which has pretty cheap beer..

its pretty rare for us to be down at granny's on a sat, but on this particular sunday, not one but all four of us were present. as usual, night came pretty fast and since the next day is a non-working day we trooped down to this little wine cafe near simpang bedok


not a bad place to chill, pretty cosy and warm

had a good time talking about girls (guys for me), and set the rules for the upcoming perth trip. such as, no dirty toilet seats as requested by me (hey! im the only girl), no disturbance when the room's occupied (duh no prizes for guessing who) and no way anyone's going carry anyone back to the apartment - wasted or not

we paid up, and yep, we got hungry again
